• Leadership Oneida County Projects Needed!

  Leadership Oneida County is a 9 month program to help cultivate leaders in Oneida County.  As part of the program each candidate is required to complete a community service project.  Do you have a project for the 2012-2013 Leadership Oneida County Candidates?  If so please complete an application for us to consider your project.  Applications will be accepted from any non-profit, service or community group located in Oneida County.  Projects can be anything except for fundraising.  Past projects have included working on pet adoption centers for the Humane Society, creating a volunteer training manual and organizing a celebration ceremony for the UW Extension’s 100 year anniversary.  If you have questions about the projects or applications give us a call at the Chamber at 715-365-7464.  Click the below link for a copy of the application.

• Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting

  The Annual Rhinelander Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting will be held on Friday November 23rd at 5pm Downtown Rhinelander.  The parade will begin at the police department on Brown Street and travel to Stevensport Square where Santa will light the tree and visit with the attending children.

  New this year we’ll also have a mystery contest for those attending the celebrations in which a big prize will be awarded.  More details to come but mark your calendars to attend the fun!

  If you would like to participate in the parade we are looking for floats!  The theme will be “It’s a Wonderful Life” in the Northwoods.  Click below for an application.

• YMCA “Not-So-Scary” Halloween Trail

  Kids enjoy a trail with not-so-scary stops filled with treats provided by various businesses.  Stop into the YMCA auditorium after for warm drinks, cookies and chili. For more information call the YMCA at 715-362-YMCA.

• Trick or Treat Spooktacular

  Kids will have a spooktacular time trick-or-treating in Downtown Rhinelander. Look for the pumpkin in the window of participating businesses. Pumpkin decorating contest also adds to the fun! For more information call DRI at 715-362-7374.

• Room Tax Community Grants Being Accepted

  The Rhinelander Tourism Marketing Committee is again accepting applications for our winter Community Grant Cycle.   The Committee will fund requests from non-profit community organizations who will be using the funds to attract out of town visitors to stay in the community.  All funding must be used towards marketing and advertising efforts for an event or project.  The applications are due to the Rhinelander Chamber office by 5pm on Wednesday November 28, 2012.  Applications will be reviewed at the December 5th Rhinelander Tourism Marketing Committee Meeting.
