  • Lions Fisheree and Winter Festival

    Join us for this annual event on February 9th and 10th which includes two days of ice fishing, a broomball tournament, snowshoe race, kids activities and snowshoe demonstrations.

    • Fishing Saturday and Sunday from 7am to 3pm
    • Broomball Tournament on Saturday – Games start at 9am
    • Snow Dash 5k snowshoe race to be held on Sunday – 10:30 AM

  • Annual Northwoods Business Expo

    The 6thAnnual Northwoods Business Expo will be held on February 27, 2013 at James Williams Middle School from 5 PM to 8 PM.  All businesses are invited to attend.  Registration is just $50 per booth.  Hundreds of attendees are expected to at this annual event, we hope you’ll join us!

  • First Annual Ho-Drags on Ice

    First Annual Ho-drags on Ice will be held on Lake Thompson on Saturday February 23rd.  This ice drag racing event will offer several classes for cars, outlaw vehicles and trucks.  Racers are encouraged to register!  Racing will start at noon.

    Spectators – there will be a free parking and admission area on the ice, to get into the pit area there will be a charge.  $20 for car pit passes and $10 per person admission to the pits.

  • Chamber Annual Dinner

    Thursday January 24th at Holiday Acres Resort

    Cocktails will begin at 5 PM and Dinner will be served at 6 PM

    Join us as we look back on 2012 and celebrate the accomplishments of you our members and the Chamber.  We will award Community Volunteer of the Year, Retail Business of the Year, Tourism & Convention Business of the Year, and Business, Professional & Industrial Business of the Year.  Nominations for these awards are now being accepted.

    The evening will also include live entertainment, raffles and a dessert auction.  We are also looking for businesses to decorate the tables.  If you are interested in participating in any of these items please contact the Chamber.

  • Hodag Broomball Tournament

    Get your brooms ready and sign up now for the 2nd Annual Hodag Broomball Tournament!  Last year was such a blast we are doing it again!

    The one day tournament is part of the Lions Fisheree & Winter Festival and will be held on Saturday February 9th.  Games will start at 9am and each team is guaranteed to play at least two games.

    New this year we’ll have team t-shirts provided for each team as long as you register by January 25th.  Absolute final registration is due by February 1st.

    Registration cost for each team is $75 and you must have 6 players, 3 girls, 3 guys to participate.  We will award prizes for winners!

    View trees in a new light through the eyes of a dozen area artists, all of whom have a deep love of the woods and the natural world around them. Mediums include sculptural woodturning, art quilts, tapestry weaving, mixed media paintings, collage, colored pencil drawing, photography, and poetry.
